Five modalities. One philosophy.

Dr. J’s post-graduate training is built around manual, hands-on techniques that address the root of pain — not just the symptom. Every modality below is used in service of the same goal: get you moving better, faster, with results that hold.

01 / Modality

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Thin, filament needles inserted directly into a myofascial trigger point — the tight, irritable band within a muscle that’s referring pain, limiting range of motion, or sending the rest of the body into compensation. The mechanical input releases the trigger, restores blood flow, and resets the local nervous system.

Chronic Neck Pain Tension Headaches Shoulder Impingement Sciatica Plantar Fasciitis
02 / Modality

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation

Targeted scraping and gliding with stainless-steel instruments to break down fascial adhesions, scar tissue, and chronic restrictions. IASTM detects and treats restrictions a clinician’s hands can miss, accelerating the body’s own remodeling response.

Tendinopathy IT Band Syndrome Post-Surgical Scarring Achilles Pain
03 / Modality

Therapeutic Cupping

Decompression of fascia and superficial tissue using suction cups — the opposite of traditional massage. By lifting tissue away from underlying structures, cupping increases circulation, drains stagnant fluid, and frees up planes of movement that compression alone can’t reach.

Back Tightness Athletic Recovery Hamstring Restrictions Post-Workout Soreness
04 / Modality

Spinal Manipulation

High-velocity, low-amplitude thrust techniques applied to specific spinal segments to restore joint mobility, reduce mechanical pain, and downregulate the protective muscle guarding that follows injury or chronic dysfunction. Performed only when assessment confirms it’s the right tool for the job.

Acute Low Back Pain Restricted Mobility Mechanical Neck Pain Postural Dysfunction
05 / Modality

Myofascial Release

Sustained, low-load pressure into the fascial system to release restrictions that limit movement, hold posture out of position, or refer pain across regions. Slower and more deliberate than typical massage — the technique works with the body’s tissue tone, not against it.

Chronic Pain Syndromes Postural Imbalances TMJ Dysfunction Pelvic Floor Tension
